Get lost

We Dare You

Your stay at Darnley Dunes grants you private beach access to a 2km strip of sparsely used heaven.

While many are content with the quiet, calm, mostly deserted stretch the path leads to, you’re just minutes away from public access spots, and the ever popular Thunder Cove by Twin Shores campground or from an hours-long deserted island feel if you head in the other direction.

We’re not exaggerating when we say this beach truly has it all!

go left

Looking for people? Go left!

10 mins to your left is the nearby Thunder Cove public beach access point and another 10 mins past that is Twin Shores.

And if you time the tide right, you can actually walk to within throwing distance of the Cabot Park beach…

Riptides (Ripcurrents) & Sandbars

The currents and shape of the beach often results in the formation of sandbars either very close or far out from shore. Riptides (currents) are dangerous features of these formations. Before you head into the water make sure you either read up on this important safety issue or familiarize yourself with how to spot or deal with a rip current before you find yourself in one.
